Sayandip Bhattacharyya

Hello! I am Sayandip Bhattacharyya

A passionate Computer Science Engineer specializing in Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision. I graduated with a B.Tech. in CSE from B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (MAKAUT) with an 8.79 DGPA, following an excellent academic record in ISC (92%) and ICSE (96.4%).

My journey in AI research and engineering includes impactful internships at HEVA AI (developing neural networks for neurological disorder detection), NIT Durgapur (building citation network analysis and automated review systems using SciBERT and T5), and as a student researcher at B.P. Poddar Institute, where I designed state-of-the-art CNN architectures for digit recognition, malaria detection, and driver distraction detection.

I have developed several innovative projects, such as a Q&A Agent System with document and web context using Gemini 2.0 Flash, a Text-to-SQL LLM, a Fake News Detection system leveraging transfer learning, and a Driver Monitoring System for micro-sleep and yawn detection.

My research has been recognized at top conferences, with papers accepted at IEEE CIACON and AISC Springer Proceedings, including BestNet (for digit recognition), GlaucNet (for glaucoma detection),GreenNet (for plant disease detection), and CarNet (for driver distraction detection). I have also won the SAP Inside Track Kolkata ICOE Hackathon in April 2024 and placed in the top 3 at the Jadavpur Deep Learning Hackathon in March 2024.

My technical toolkit includes Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, GCP, HuggingFace, and Google Colab, with expertise in CNNs, LLMs, and both NLP and Computer Vision domains. I am always eager to collaborate, learn, and contribute to impactful AI solutions.
